The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two time world heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
Despite those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, consistently making massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really happening.
